Properties:	Pale pink to pale brown powder, it sublimating at the temperature over 76℃ in atmospherical enviroment, easily to decarboxylate and change into phenol and carbon dioxide when heated quickly. Its aqueous solution appears acid reaction, becomes purple with FeCl₃. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in boiling water, easily soluble in ethanol or ether.
